War of Words–Getting to the Heart of Interpersonal Struggles
Compelling DVD series with Paul Tripp, facilitated by Nick Lees
Relationship between friends, roommates, and family are difficult enough and often have become that way because of the way we use one resource of God—communication. This class will lay a foundational Biblical theology of communication to show what God wants to accomplish with our words in our relationships with Him and others. College?aged individuals will benefit greatly from learning about God’s plan for our words prior to starting families and jobs.
All Things In Christ: Falling in Love with the Son of God
Tim Fara
Our hearts are idol factories chasing after all of the things we think will satisfy. But deception reigns in our hearts. Christ is the only thing that will ultimately satisfy our hearts, set our emotions and desires right, and give us lasting joy. We must fall in love with the Person of Jesus Christ. In this class we will discuss the following characteristics and gifts of God in Christ to help us in our fight for joy in God: the glory of God, the Word of God, prayer, emotions and desires, fellow saints, nature, sex, and more!
BBiblical Resource Management–Time and Finances
Tim Valiant
Tim Valiant loves to help folks in managing their time and finances. Those of you who are struggling to manage these resources or simply wanting to understand a Biblical view stewardship should commit to using your time to meet with Tim. Tim will work individually or with a group of students who want to learn how master their time and finances and not be mastered by them. The way you use these resources is a telling sign of your spiritual life—“He who is faithful in the little (like money) will be faithful in a lot.” Most college students don’t have a clue as to why these resources are so important. Now is the time for college students to begin getting a grip on these issues so that they have a strong spiritual life, a foundation for their future family, and treasures in heaven.
